The main results of program execution

Method of estimation of solar energy resources for the regions of Lithuania was made while executing this program. In accordance with the Weibull distribution law the method for the calculation of the potential of wind energy in different regions of the country was created and the method to make the curves of the duration of the river debits with the use of the methods of geographic information system was made.
While making the net of the observation stations of the solar energy resources, the monitoring computer post of the solar radiation and bio-photo-metric observation will soon be founded. The number of the posts for the observation of the duration of solar radiation was increased, two posts for the investigation of the parameters of the wind energy were established and the scheme of the net of hydrological station for the energetic purposes was updated.
With the resources of the solar energy in various regions of Lithuania in mind, the computer programs of wind power plants, solar collectors, passive solar systems for the premise heating were made. The economic analysis of the use of these equipment was made and the potential of the wind power plants and the solar collectors in agriculture was estimated.
The following demonstration installations have been already made or they will be finished in the future: photo power plants and wind power plants, the systems of water and air heating with the use of solar collectors and the drier for timber and wood. The investigations are made in order to create cheap hydraulic turbine and the combination schemes of the small hydroelectric plants.
This is the first scientific program, where both the resources of the solar energy in Lithuania and the methods and means to use this energy are investigated in complex.
