Povilas Balciunas
P.Balciunas was born in 1927 in Siauliai, Lithuania. In 1956 he graduated from Kaunas University of Technology as Dipl. Eng. in electrical engineering and later 12 years worked in various institutions of design and construction. In 1970 he received Ph.D. in field of electrical sciences from Kaunas University of Technology, after worked as an associated professor in the same university, studied at the Kiev Polytechnical Institute, Institute of Electrodynamics in Ukraine and at the Institute of Aviation in Ufa, Russia. In 1994 he received D.Habil.. degree from Kaunas University of Technology in electronics and electrical engineering sciences. From 1995 he worked in Kaunas University of Technology as professor and scientific manager of Power Electronics Converters Laboratory. He is author of 95 publications in Lithuanian, Russian and English including monograph, 2 scientific research reports carried out under states programme and 25 certificates of inventions.

Vytautas Adomavicius
V.Adomavicius was born in 1944 in Marijampole, Lithuania . In 1967 he graduated from Kaunas University of Technology as Dipl. Eng. in electrical engineering and electric drives. After graduating he worked at Kaunas University of Technology as an assistant, designer and researcher. Author or co-author of about 40 publications. At present is interested in renewable energy conversion, mainly in integrated solar and wind energy conversion systems and monitoring of solar energy.

Gytis Petrauskas
Gytis Petrauskas was born in 1966 m. in Kaunas, Engineer (1991). Ms.D. (1994). Ph.D. student (1994). Author or co-author of 8 publications. Field of interests - solar and wind energy conversion systems.

Vytenis Leonavicius
Born in 1974 in Kalvarija, in Lithuania. In 1996, he received the Bachelor of Science degree (Diploma with honours) in Electrical Engineering at the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU). From 1994 to 1998, he worked in the Department of Electrical and Illuminating Engineering as a laboratory assistant. Research area: power electronics in renewable energies. In 1997-1998, he finished the course in renewable energies and hydrogen technology at the University of Applied Technology in Stralsund (Germany). In 1998, he received the Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the KTU (Performance of the grid-connected inverters supplied by renewable energy source).
Since 1998, Vytenis has been working in PEI Technologies at the NMRC (Ireland). He is a Ph.D. student at the NMRC/UCC. Research areas: power electronics packaging for grid-connected applications, encapsulation of power converters, planar magnetics in grid-connected power converters (SMPS, AC/DC, DC/AC), packaging of magnetic components (transformers, filters).
